Caddyshack

You never know when the movie is really going to start. A lot of small jokes throughout the movie. Nothing crazy. Good for a good sweet time around your family.

Oh and Cara wanted me to add, yes it was the first time I was watching this movie! :)

    Dude,
Some of those 80’s movies are a little hard to watch, I agree. A lot of it was timing, meaning I was 10 years old so anyting adult like was great. But caddyshack is as funny today as it was then. I still use lines from this movie and they still crack me up. A lot less misogynisctic weirdness going on in this one compared to some of the other stuff from that period, too.

First, thanks again for the ride the other day! :)

Yeah, some 80’s films are too much to bear, but then thank goodness you have great 80’s films like “Big Trouble in Little China” and “Caddyshack” definitely has it’s moments as well. Not to mention Carl Spackler and that gopher have earned their place in film history!

Caddyshack is a classic and still holds up. It’s all about Rodney IMO. He’s as funny now as he was then (RIP). The first 80’s movie that comes to mind that does not hold up would be Tom Hanks’ Bachelor Party. I thought it would great to watch it again but it was pretty disappointing. Not Mike Myers bad, just dated bad. It sure was funny when I was 8 though.
